MJBizDaily, Headset partner for exclusive cannabis retail data

Anne Holland Ventures, the parent company of Marijuana Business Daily, and Seattle-based data analytics firm Headset on Thursday announced a new partnership in which MJBizDaily can access Headset’s real-time, retail-derived industry data throughout the United States and Canada.

Through the partnership, Headset and Denver-based MJBizDaily will work together to develop exclusive content for the annual Marijuana Business Factbook as well as new content and information available at MJBizCon, MJBizConNEXT and MJBizConINT’L.

Cassandra Farrington, CEO and co-founder of MJBizDaily, and Cy Scott, co-founder and CEO of Headset, jointly announced the exclusive partnership.

Headset is a leading data analytics platform for the cannabis industry.

The company collects and standardizes receipt-level data from point-of-sale systems and provides information on cannabis sales by product category, consumer behaviors and pricing, among other things.

“As an emerging industry, it is critical to have reliable and robust data that shows the growth story of cannabis combined with reporters and analysts to highlight the impact,” Farrington said in a prepared statement.
